DMG Global Health LLC is led by David Gittelman MPH, a global health specialist with over 30 years experience in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programs to prevent and control malaria, polio, measles and other vaccine-preventable diseases, diarrheal diseases, acute respiratory infections and others. He has extensive experience coordinating programs in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia and has French language proficiency.
Until retiring from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2018, David served as CDC Deputy Team Lead for the President’s Malaria Initiative, and Deputy Chief of the Program Implementation Unit, CDC Malaria Branch. Previous CDC Atlanta-based roles included Regional Coordinator for Africa, Central and South Asia and Eastern Europe for measles control; advisor for polio eradication campaigns and surveillance; and Country Officer, Central and Southern Africa for HIV/AIDS and STD prevention. His work with CDC followed two years as regional coordinator for vaccination programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Kasai Oriental Region, and management support on refugee resettlement in Macau and Hong Kong for the International Organization for Migration.
In 2020, David was appointed Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Public Health and advisor to the Center for Global Health, University at Albany (SUNY), Albany, New York.
